TopWinPrio3beta

After some long nights of coding I think TopWinPrio3-beta is ready to be released into the wild… Just remember, it’s a beta.
I have not done any code-optimizing for speed or size yet.
The main reason to release this version before it’s completly done is that the old one has some bugs that are fixed now.
I will write more information about this version tomorrow…
The zipfile contains 3 exefiles
- x86
- x64
- Itanium
In the zipfile there is also a small presentation of the tabs, settings and what they do.
Please use the comments for bugreports and feature requests.

I tried to install the beta. It told me it was compatible with my version of Windows (Vista Home Basic 32 bit). So it stopped and I’m letting you know.
I clicked the topwinprio3.exe in the itanium folder. It unzipped the files and then quit as above………..
Well never mind, I reconsidered how I was installing it. I retried using the x86a/itanium/topwinprio3.exe. It installed easily. Do you think it might be good to make an install file named something like “Install 32 bit version” and another “Install 64 bit version”?
I know that would have simplified it for me…

When I release the new version, installers will be made for each CPU type.

I’ve tried it, the new features are great! However, it doesn’t respond to window shifts while in the background like the stable version. Also, it consumes a lot of memory, compared to the stable, but it is relative to the features. I know this is a beta, so this is very good. I happily await the stable version of this!

Hey, first of all I’d like to say that: I think your TopWinPrio software is brilliant. Now that is out of the way – is this new version going to be stable soon? I’ve checked back on this page a few times since I first noticed it. So I am just curious about how you are progressing with this release, no pressure.

So when will the stable version be released? I don’t think the installers are necessary, so you don’t have to worry about it…. BTW, try to sends a heads up to engadget, so they can give you some press!

Hi Marcus, I am glad you have recovered. I am looking forward to seeing the optimized/polished version of the beta version of TopWinPrio3.
BTW, What bug is there in the last version besides not properly starting up with Windows? I couldn’t find any other issues.

The only big issue with the first version was the part of autostarting, besides that, it works like a charm.
