Hmm, well I haven’t actually tried Windows 8 yet, but I don’t like the look of new interface so far. It’s nice that MS are trying to merge its x86 and ARM OS’, and they have made a good effort in 8, but I feel that the tablet/mobile GUI should not be forced onto us desktop computer users. The performance increase over using Windows 7 certainly isn’t bad, but it’s nothing to cheer about either.

I’d more or less say, if you are someone that is currently still using Vista or perhaps even XP, then yes definitely upgrade to 8 – even if a clean install is required. However if you are someone that is using 7, and happy with it, unless you desperately crave a new interface (and a new PC with a touchscreen) that you should probably stick with what you have, at least for now.
